How to Get Rid of Eyebags and Dark Circles Under the Eyes
If you always have to Photoshop or edit out the dark circles under the eyes in your photos, then you most likely want to get rid of the eyebags/dark circles under the eyes in real life! Dark circles under the eyes are caused not just by insufficient sleep, but also by water retention, kidney troubles, pollen allergies and anemia.
Let’s look at the numerous ways to get rid of eyebags or dark circles under the eyes:
Cucumbers
Buy cucumbers and chill them in the refrigerator for a day. Then slice it and place on your eyes for around 15-25 minutes. As cucumber is composed mainly of water it can significantly help in decreasing the puffiness of your eyes and minimize the appearance of bags.
Milk
You may also fight dark circles and eyebags by dipping two cotton squares into cold milk, making sure to squeeze out extra liquid before placing them on your eyes for approximately half an hour. Rinse with cold water. Do this every day and reduce water retention in the eyes.
Tea Bags
Place tea bags in hot water for a minute and then chill them for around 10 minutes. Place them on your eyes for half an hour and rinse with cold water. The caffeine in the teabags will help in reducing the eyebag puffiness and redness of the eyes.
Spoons
Those who do not have cucumbers, milk or tea bags in their kitchen for combating dark circles under the eyes need not fret because you can also use spoons to do the trick! Get 4 stainless steel spoons and place them in a glass of cold water. Take out two spoons and place them on your eyes to reduce your eye’s puffiness and the appearance of eyebags. Place them back in the water then use the two other spoons in the glass on your eyes. Repeat until you puffiness of your eyes is reduced.
Oil
Sometimes the reason for those unsightly dark under eye circles may be because of not enough moisture. Invest in an oil (vitamin E, almond, etc.) and massage under the eyes every morning. This will help in removing the swelling of your eyes.
Healthy Diet
Dark circles under the eyes are caused by water retention and vitamin deficiency. As such, try to avoid eating food with salt as this encourages water retention. Another tip is to make sure to eat healthy and eat food that are rich in vitamin K and vitamin B12 such as leafy greens, fruits and veggies, as deficiency in these 2 vitamins can cause dark under eye circles.
